Cypress Mountain

Cypress Mountain is one of the places for skiing that not only hotel guests recognize as one of the best skiing spots in Vancouver with its approximate 51 runs but also has 5 different chairlifts to get skiers to the slopes.

While there maybe history with every mountain ski resort with Cypress Mountain it is the future that is the excitement as this ski resort will be the reason why hotels will be filled and hotel guests will be flocking to the resort in the year 2010 when it is the host of the Olympic Freestyle Skiing as well as the Olympic Snowboard competitions. There are 51 named alpine ski runs and many of the runs are available for night skiing, which is for many some of the most fun type of skiing that can be done.

Along with the rental shop for hotel visitors to the area who could not bring their own gear as well as ski schools for visitors who want to learn to ski.

Cypress Mountain also has other activities such as snowshoeing with 19 kilometers of trails and a 10-kilometer trail that can be a go it alone trek or as a guided snowshoeing event.
There are hiking trails when the snow is gone and hotel guests want to take in the beauty of the mountains in Vancouver.

When it is time for a break there is a lodge, a cafeteria and Growlies Bar & Grill, along with shops that have something for everyone. When it is time for fine dinning in the snow with all the views that Cypress Mountain has to offer at Hollyburn Lodge, which can also be accessed on the snow shoe trails for a mid trail break.

Cypress Mountain also has other popular snow sports like tubing and in the warmer months biking. No matter what time of the year it is there is something for everyone in the family that is fun and exciting, whether you are a local or a guest at one of the many hotels.
